@T= TEHRAN – Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi has stated that anyone who lies over and over again has no religion.
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi made the remarks addressing the clerics in the Qom Seminary on Wednesday.
“Only those who lie have no belief in Allah’s verses,” the Ayatollah added.
The senior religious figure also criticized media outlets for spreading baseless reports.
“Today, the media is doing something which is not lying but similar lying. For example, they highlight those parts of the announcements or statements which are to their benefit. This is not lying but similar to lying and this deception is also like lying,” he said.
Human rights is one of the biggest lies
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi also stated that human rights are one of the biggest lies of the world.
“This is the time of technological advancement and great works are being done across the globe. Proportionate with these advances, big lies are also told in the world. One of the biggest lies of the world is the issue of human rights,” Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi explained.
He pointed out that the so-called upholders of the human rights accuse Iran of human rights violations for executing criminals and turn a blind eye to the brutal massacre of the Muslims in the Gaza Strip.
